Just like before heading into the Christmas break, the Boston Bruins will be facing off against the Washington Capitals once again, and they have a tough challenge ahead of them today.

The Boston Bruins have made some surprising roster changes since the last time these two teams met, and Joe Sacco is making changes by healthy scratching two players.

According to the Bruins morning lines yesterday it looks like the Boston Bruins will be healthy scratching both Oliver Wahlstrom and Jordan Oesterle. Both of these players played in their last meeting when the Bruins dominated the Capitals in a 4-1 win.

Wahlstrom hasn't looked the best since joining the Bruins after being claimed on waivers, but Oesterle has been solid for them, so it's surprising to see him come out of the lineup today.

With Wahlstrom coming out of the lineup, and the Bruins sending Fabian Lysell back down to the American Hockey League, the Bruins have placed Cole Koepke on the third line with Trent Frederic and Justin Brazeau.

The third line needed a spark, and last game they got that by calling up Fabian Lysell to make his NHL debut, now the Bruins are hoping that Cole Koepke can do the same thing on the third line.
