It appears that the Boston Bruins are the front runners to land Oilers superstar Leon Draisaitl if contract talks fail over the next year.

According to SportsBetting AG, The Bruins have a three to one odd of landing the Oilers superstar center which is seconded by the Chicago Blackhawks and then the Carolina Hurricanes.

Rumors of Draisaitl heading to the Bruins have been non-stop since earlier this spring as the Bruins continue to search for a number one center after the departure of Patrice Bergeron and David Krejci due to retirement.

Many feel that either the Oilers or the Bruins would need to commit to a $13 million or higher per year contract being eight years or seven to secure his services. To bring a player of his caliber would augment the Bruins exponentially and would give them a bonafide #1 line like before.

Draisaitl is under contract for one more season and the Bruins would need to either trade for him to secure him to an 8-year deal or the team would need to wait until next offseason to offer him the contract that could sway him to Beantown.

Its mere speculation at this point but with each passing day and the lack of movement on the Oilers, a possible change of scenery for Draisaitl may be in the works.
