During the second period, the Boston Bruins started to lose their temper as they were trailing the Philadelphia Flyers 3-1 late. Charlie McAvoy ended up going after the Flyers young star sensation Matvei Michkov.
McAvoy went after Michkov when Owen Tippett came in to his defence which lead to a massive scrum taking place.
Take a look:
McAvoy would end up getting a double minor for roughing and Owen Tippett would pick up a roughing penalty as well.
The Bruins would go into the third period down 2 goals, and just a little over five minutes into the third period Trent Frederic would score his second goal of the year to bring the Bruins back to within one goal, and who else other than Brad Marchand to score the game tying goal with just under 5 minutes remaining in the third.
The game would go to overtime, and the Bruins would score on their first shot 2:49 into overtime when Pavel Zacha buried his 7th of the year from David Pastrnak.
The Bruins now improve to 7-2-0 under head coach Joe Sacco, and will now head onto a six game West Coast road trip.
