The Boston Bruins have officially signed two-time Stanley Cup Champion Tyler Johnson

Following an announcement, the Boston Bruins have officially signed two-time Stanley Cup Champion Tyler Johnson to a contract.

During the off-season the Boston Bruins made some big signings including Nikita Zadorov, and Elias Lindholm, and they also made some depth signings as well.

Tyler Johnson signed a professional tryout contract with the Boston Bruins close to the beginning of training camp, and many believed he would earn a contract out of it due to his impressive play during pre-season.

Unfortunately for Johnson, the Boston Bruins and Jeremy Swayman agreed to a contract two days before the regular season began, leaving the Boston Bruins with no cap space to sign Tyler Johnson.

The Bruins just made a move yesterday placing Riley Tufte on waivers clearing enough cap space for the Bruins to sign Tyler Johnson to a contract with the Bruins.

According to Andrew Fantucchio the Boston Bruins have signed Tyler Johnson to a one-year, $775,000 contract.

Tyler Johnson has been on the ice with the Boston Bruins for practice's including today, and he will now more than likely join the Boston Bruins in their road trip to take on the Toronto Maple Leafs.
