The Boston Bruins Just Announced A Last Minute Emergency Roster Transaction

A recent announcement just revealed some terrible news for the Boston Bruins, as they have recalled Michael DiPietro from the Providence Bruins in the American Hockey League.

The Boston Bruins are in good hands with Michael DiPietro, as earlier in the year he was announced to the American Hockey League All-Star game, and has been having a stellar year for the Providence Bruins, but this means bad news for the Boston Bruins.

Yesterday during their game against the New Jersey Devils, Jeremy Swayman was pulled from the game, and many believed it was because he allowed four goals in the second period, but that's not the case.

Following the game, head coach Joe Sacco revealed that Jeremy Swayman was pulled from the game because he was dealing with something, and with this move the Bruins just announced, it more than likely means Swayman is dealing with an injury.

Joonas Korpisalo is more than likely going to get the start tonight against the Ottawa Senators, but if Jeremy Swayman is out for a bit, there is a good chance Bruins fans will finally get to see what Michael DiPietro has to offer to the organization.

In 22 appearances in the American Hockey League this year, Michael DiPietro has some insane numbers. He has a record of 14-5-3 with a 1.95 goals against average, and a .930 save percentage.

Hopefully for the Boston Bruins, Jeremy Swayman isn't out long-term, but this is a good chance for DiPietro to prove himself.
