The Boston Bruins made disciplined goaltender Jeremy Swayman mid-game against the New Jersey Devils.

The Bruins were set to take on a struggling New Jersey Devils team, and would look good early on, scoring a goal just over five minutes into the first period, but things would get ugly.

In the second period it took just 1:24 for the New Jersey Devils to score their first of four goals in the period. The New Jersey Devils out shot the Boston Bruins 17-10 in the second period, and through both periods they were out shooting the Bruins 29-15.

To start the third period, Joe Sacco decided to discipline Jeremy Swayman, and pull him out of the game after allowing four goals in the second period. Instead Korpisalo ended up starting the period in net.

It is indeed Korpisalo in net for the third. Suggests they'll go back to Swayman tomorrow vs. Ottawa.

Earlier in the day Joe Sacco was asked if because Jeremy Swayman was starting tonight, if it meant that Joonas Korpisalo would get the start tomorrow against the Ottawa Senators, and Sacco stated it depended on how the game today went.

Asked if Swayman tonight means Korpisalo tomorrow, Sacco says, "We'll see how the game goes."

I wondered if this might be a rare situation where Swayman gets both ends of a b2b. Two big conference games. If Swayman plays well and doesn't face a heavy workload, I'd consider it.

With Jeremy Swayman getting pulled, there is a good chance that he may get the start tomorrow against the Ottawa Senators.

Do you think this was a good mid-game move the Boston Bruins made with Jeremy Swayman?
