The Bruins have just confirmed key defensemans status for upcoming game against Blue Jackets
The Boston Bruins are set to get some support back on the blue line tonight in their game against the Columbus Blue Jackets.
Head coach Jim Montgomery announced today that the Boston Bruins will get some support back on defence tonight.
Andrew Peeke was a full participant at the Boston Bruins practice yesterday for the first time.
Andrew Peeke leads the stretch in his return to practice, and ahead of Monday's game against former team Columbus.
Today Jim Montgomery announced that Andrew Peeke will officially slot back into the lineup for the Boston Bruins.
Just yesterday following practice, Montgomery stated that Andrew Peeke was progressing well but was doubtful for the game.
Jim Montgomery on Andrew Peeke availability: "He's progressing well...I would say doubtful for tomorrow but we'll see how he reacts tomorrow morning from the contact practice."
Now with the Bruins setting up to take on the Blue Jackets tonight it's unclear who will come out of the Bruins roster on the blue line.
But one thing for sure is that Peeke will be back, and will look to make a difference right away.
Yesterday Peeke spoke to the media following practice, and this is what he had to say about possibly returning to the lineup:
Andrew Peeke on returning to the lineup: "When I come back into the lineup whether that's tomorrow or the next game or the game after it's going to be exciting for me to help out where I can."
The Bruins currently need all the help they can get, and Peeke returning to the lineup is a huge start.
In 13 games so far this season Andrew Peeke has 2 assists along with a -2 rating.
