Although he's obviously not worrying about it yet, Don Sweeney has a major decision to make regarding Boston's future in goal, specifically with Jeremy Swayman.

Swayman, 24, will be a restricted free agent at the season's end, and the Bruins will have two goalies deserving to be an NHL starter.

Limited Space for Multiple Players

Along with Swayman, Trent Frederic and Jakub Lauko are RFAs. While eight players are UFAs, including the likes of Patrice Bergeron, David Krejci and newcomers Dmitry Orlov and Tyler Bertuzzi.

And as Adam Gretz recently wrote for Bleacher Report, the team may have to choose between their two stellar netminders.

''The big question with the Bruins is going to be what they do with goalie Jeremy Swayman. Swayman is a pending restricted free agent and will be due a significant raise. He and Linus Ullmark have formed one of the best goalie duos in the league this season, and the Bruins would no doubt love to keep that going.''

'But Swayman will not be cheap. Ullmark already makes $5 million, and they have limited cap space to fill out the rest of their roster. It all comes down to how much the Bruins want to invest in their goalie duo and what sacrifices they want to make elsewhere on the roster.''

Who Will Have to be Moved?

Several players have been reported to be 'moveable'' for the Bruins this offseason, and as The Athletic's Fluto Shinzawa shared, there could be some tough goodbyes for the club.

''The Bruins would most likely have to move money. Grzelcyk and Forbort may be in play in this scenario as well. The Bruins may also have to consider the future of Hall, who is under contract through 2025 at $6 million annually. Hall, 31, has partial no-trade protection.''

Another option is to trade Ullmark if you want Swayman as the goalie of the future. His value will never be as high as it is now with a Vezina Trophy most likely in the near future.

Giving up any of these players would be difficult, but that's what comes with the business side of sports.

In an ideal world, the Bruins would love to keep Ullmark and Swayman, unfortunately, the league's best bromance may have to be broken up. Both goalies should be starters in the NHL, but it might be too expensive to keep the duo together in Boston.
