Boston Bruins insider Andrew Fantucchio of Boston Hockey Now reported that the Boston Bruins may not trade Linus Ullmark during the off-season and they might wait and explore all of their options to make sure they get the best return they can.
Reports have suggested that the Bruins might even keep Ullmark for the remainder of his contract as he has one-year left.
It doesn't help that Linus Ullmark has a lot of control and say were he would get traded to due to his 15 team no-trade clause.
Former Vezina Trophy winners have been traded before and the return isn't always what the team may be looking for, and Fantucchio compared Ullmark's position to Marc-Andre Fleury who was traded in 2021 as basically a cap dump.
Fantucchio believes if the Bruins take their time with Ullmark and explore all their options it could drive Ullmark's trade value up and the Bruins could get a bigger return if teams become more desperate.
Should the Bruins get a deal done now or wait and see if they can get a better return for him?
