It was revealed by Jimmy Murphy of the Sick Pod, that the Boston Bruins will not be trading Brandon Carlo and John Beecher to the New York Rangers for Jacob Trouba and Matt Rempe.

The rumor has been circulating for the past few weeks where Brandon Carlo and John Beecher would be sent to the New York Rangers in exchange for their captain Jacob Trouba and enforcer Matt Rempe along with the second-round pick in 2027.

The trade would seem counterproductive as the Bruins her attempting to lock down their number one goaltender in Jeremy Swayman to a long-term contract which may be over $6 million per season.

While Matt Rempe would be a low-cost enforcer, the Bruins do not have the luxury of adding $8 million per season in a defenseman that is aging and seems to be moving past his prime quickly.

Both Carlo and Beecher have shown the Bruins that they are good options for depth and cost has Beecher had become a name in this year's playoffs especially against the Toronto Maple Leafs.

The Bruins will continue to look over the NHL to see if there are any options for a low cost upgrade but in the meantime until Swayman has been dealt with, the bruins are at a standstill for any trades that could be done to improve the roster.
