The Boston Bruins just announced a surprising roster transaction and fans have been vocal on the move.

The Boston Bruins have had some holes to fill in their previous couple of games after losing some forwards.

The Bruins announced a roster move a couple games ago, and called up Providence Bruins captain Patrick Brown due to Tyler Johnson having to leave the team as they were preparing to take on the Dallas Stars due to an injury,

Johnson had a family matter to deal with.

Montgomery just told the media in Dallas that Tyler Johnson had to go back home to deal with a family issue so it was not coach's decision he did not play

Last game the Bruins ended up sending Patrick Brown back down to providence, and instead called up Geogrii Merkulov, and Riley Tufte.

Merkulov was impressive for the Boston Bruins and even tallied his first NHL point, picking up an assist on Trent Frederics first goal.

The Boston Bruins announced another roster move today and fans seem to be loving it.

It was announced that the Boston Bruins have re-assigned Riley Tufte to the Providence Bruins.

The #NHLBruins have assigned Riley Tufte to Providence:

Here is what fans are thinking of the move:

Tufte has not been good for the Bruins after being signed to a contract in the off-season as a free agent.

In three games with the Boston Bruins, Tufte has 0 points, three penalty minutes along with a -4 plus-minus rating.
