Some bad news has surfaced regarding Boston Bruins captain Brad Marchand as he was missing from practice this morning.

Following the Boston Bruins terrible loss against one of the worst teams in the NHL, the Bruins received some bad news regarding their captain, or so it looked like it.

The Bruins ended up blowing another lead in the third period to the St. Louis Blues last night, and ended up losing the game 3-2 in overtime.

Today at practice it was revealed that Brad Marchand was absent, and many were wondering why, and if maybe it was due to an injury.

Following practice Jim Montgomery gave some updates on players, one being Brad Marchand and why he was missing from practice today.

Montgomery stated that Brad Marchand was not at practice today due to maintenance.

Updates from Montgomery: Maintenance day for Marchand, Kastelic still considered day-to-day, Tufte back to Providence, Peeke «doubtful» for tomorrow but getting close.

Although many believed it could have been bad news, fans got a sigh of relief after Jim Montgomery gave an update following practice.

Even though Brad Marchand was absent from practice, the Bruins ended up getting two faces back, as Tyler Johnson and Andrew Peeke were both full participants today.

Tyler Johnson ended up leaving the team to go and deal with a family matter, and Andrew Peeke was injured in a game against the Toronto Maple Leafs after taking an awkward hit.

Do you think Brad Marchand is the right captain for the Boston Bruins?
