Despite Linus Ullmark being the frontrunner to win the Vezina and holding a 2-1 series lead, will Jim Montgomery turn to Jeremy Swayman in game four?
Who Should Man the Crease?
So far this postseason, Ullmark is 2-1 with a 2.69 goals-against average and a .921 save percentage, while Swayman has served as the backup every game. However, according to Fluto Shinzawa of The Athletic, Montgomery is considering going with Swayman in game four.
''Jeremy Swayman is under consideration for Game 4, per Jim Montgomery. David Krejci is questionable. Krejci is not skating today.''
Ullmark's start in game three was kind of a surprise to begin with, as the 29-year-old was a game-time decision prior to puck drop.
Boston will have no issue with either guy in net, though, as Swayman has also been on a tremendous run since the start of 2023. The 24-year-old is 17-3-1 in 23 games since, with a 2.03 GAA, a .932 SV%, and three shutouts.
