Last night, an intense showdown unfolded between the Florida Panthers and the Carolina Hurricanes in game 4 of the Eastern Conference Final. Ultimately, Florida emerged victorious with a 4-3 win, securing a sweep of the series and advancing to the Stanley Cup Final. However, the game was not without its fair share of drama, particularly when Sam Bennett delivered a forceful hit to Jaccob Slavin during the 1st period.

Although no penalty was called on the play, witnessing a player go down in that manner is always disheartening. What has drawn significant criticism is the reaction of former NHL defenseman PK Subban, who seemed to celebrating the hit that likely resulted in Slavin sustaining a concussion, at the very least. You can see the incident in the video provided.

Subban, known for his aggressive style of play during his hockey career, unsurprisingly displayed enthusiasm for such impactful hits. However, fans were highly critical of Subban's response and the accompanying video he shared.

The controversy surrounding Subban's endorsement of this kind of play and the subsequent fallout he faced is entirely justified. Regardless of whether the hit was deemed clean or not, celebrating an injury to a player is simply unacceptable.

It appears that Subban has failed to grasp any valuable lessons since retiring from professional hockey last year, and his recent actions make this all too evident. Such behavior can only be described as disgraceful.
