Future Hall Of Famer Hints At Possible Retirement
Marc-Andre Fleury, the Minnesota Wild's veteran goaltender, appears to be approaching tomorrow's game in Montreal with sentimental significance. The game is set to take place at the iconic Bell Centre, home of the Montreal Canadiens.
What's particularly intriguing is that Fleury has acquired 24 tickets for his family members to attend the game, prompting questions about whether this might be his last appearance in his hometown.
Fleury shared his thoughts on this unique situation, stating,
"More than usual for this one. But still got to get the win. Got to get the 2 points & that's what matters. And hopefully you can put on a good show for them."
Fleury is currently in the final season of a two-year, $7 million contract, with a $3.5 million salary cap hit. If this season does mark his NHL swan song, the upcoming game in Montreal will hold special significance for the future Hall of Famer.
