NHL Media Day Takes A Brutal Turn For The Worst
The NHL always gets a bit more interesting when you have brothers in the league simultaneously. Typically close in age and raised together, these siblings bring an extra layer of competition, pushing each other both physically and emotionally while sharing good-natured banter about who's mom's favorite.
Remember the Staal brothers, where three out of four played together for the Carolina Hurricanes, while Marc Staal donned the New York Rangers jersey? And then there's the Tkachuk brothers.
Brady and Matthew Tkachuk have a reputation for their sibling rivalry, evident even when they face off as an Ottawa Senator and a Florida Panther. During a recent media day, the brothers showcased their unique style, and, as expected, things got heated after the photo op.
The source of this fierce competitiveness can be traced back to their father, former NHL star Keith Tkachuk. He was renowned for his intense play on the ice, and it's clear that his sons have inherited that competitive spirit and playful nature.
