It's 2020, and the Bruins wouldn't offer defenseman Torey Krug a contract, after seven seasons in Boston.

According to Krug, he wasn't even given a chance to stay in Boston, though he wanted to.

The two camps had opened discussions previously in October 2019, following the Bruins's trip to the Finals, but they would end in a stalemate it seems.

Krug signed a 7-year deal, $45.5 Million dollar deal in St. Louis during free agency in 2020.

It was a difficult decision, but the right decision by Sweeney in not giving Krug the contract he wanted/got.

Krug has the same agent as Jeremy Swayman, who essentially asks for as much as possible for his clients and then hangs up until demands are met.

Swayman contract seems to be at a stalemate. would love to know the hold up.

Little did many of us know that Swayman's agent is the same as Krug and if he is using the same negotiating tactics, could this spell the end of Sway in Boston?'

Bruins fans will miss Swayman, but Krug is a different story, as he was a part of the team that went to the Stanley Cup.

But they couldn't get it done, and in 2020 was more or less a cap casualty for the Bruins as Sweeney felt he wasn't the right fit for the future of the Bruins.

And it seems fans agree too.
