Referee has his skull fractured after being beat up by a player

A ball hockey referee was assaulted by a player and had his jaw and skull fractured.

This incident happened in Quebec where a referee who was volunteering got beat up by a player and had his skull and jaw fractured.

It was confirmed by the North American Ball Hockey Players Association that last Tuesday this attack took place and the player was ejected from the game.

The official statement was released from the NBHPA and it stated that the player attacked the referee with his stick, hitting him once in the cheat and then another time in his face where he would end up fracturing the refs skull and jaw.

The league announced that he also suffered damage to all of his teeth and he will have to undergo facial reconstructive surgery to recover from this attack.

The police have confirmed that they have arrested the attacker who is a 31 year old man, and he also received a lifetime ban.
