Auston Matthews in Distress After Taking a Skate to the Groin

Auston Matthews of the Maple Leafs is having a tough week, as the star forward took a solid shot to the groin for the second time in as many games.

First, Matthews was hurt on Thursday in Florida when an attempted dump in from Carter Verhaeghe caught him in the �'nether regions'', for lack of a better term.

And tonight, with Toronto visiting the Hurricanes, Matthews took a Jesper Fast skate directly to the groin off a faceoff. Check it out:

Matthews immediately went down and stayed on the ice for a moment, but he did stay in the game.
