In Game 3 of their second-round playoff series, tensions escalated between the New York Rangers and Carolina Hurricanes, leading to a significant on-ice altercation.

The chaos began when Hurricanes defenseman Dmitry Orlov threw a punch, sparking a brawl that involved Rangers players Jimmy Vesey and Jesperi Kotkaniemi among others.

The incident, captured and shared widely online, resulted in minor penalties for Vesey, Barclay Goodrow of the Rangers, and Orlov and Kotkaniemi of the Hurricanes. Despite the penalties, the game remained 5-on-5.

With the Rangers currently leading the series 2-0, the aggressive and heated exchanges suggest that more intense action is expected as the series continues.
