Montreal Canadiens are reportedly going to be losing Patrik Laine for the rest of the year following a report from the team.

During their most recent game against the Toronto Maple Leafs, Patrik Laine was on the receiving end of a dirty hit from former Boston Bruins player Cedric Pare.

Patrick Laine was taking the puck up the middle of the ice between two Maple Leafs players, when he was caught by a knee-on-knee hit from Cedric Pare.

Patrik Laine would not return to the game and was reportedly seen leaving the arena on crutches and with a knee brace on.

Both Patrik Laine and David Reinbacher left Bell Centre tonight on crutches and with braces on their left knees.

The two players are still being evaluated. ⬇️

Take a look at the hit:

Patric Laine did show up to the Montreal Canadiens skate today, but was see wearing a knee brace on his left knee, and was using crutches.

Patrik Laine has dealt with a lot of injuries throughout his career, as he has only appeared in two seasons where he's played a full 82 game season.

A new report just came out stating that Patrik Laine is expected to miss the rest of the year.

This is terrible news for the Montreal Canadiens who just acquired Laine through a trade with the Columbus Blue Jackets, and will now be without him for the rest of the year.
