3 Bruins return to practice, while 2 are still absent
With NHL All-Star Weekend finally coming to a close we are beginning to get back to the NHL schedule. Starting tomorrow the Bruins kick off the second half of their season in a game against the Pittsburgh Penguins, who announced today they would be without Evgeni Malkin who had been placed on the COVID protocol list, following his return to Pittsburgh.
Today at practice the Bruins learned that they would be getting some reinforcements to the club as it was announced forward Erik Haula had been cleared to return from the COVID list, while forwards Nick Foligno and Trent Frederic also returned to the ice after suffering injuries.
According to NHL reporter Blake Thorne, both goaltender, Tuukka Rask and defensemen, Urho Vaakanainen were both still absent from practice.
It is expected tomorrow when the Bruins take on the Penguins that either Jeremy Swayman and Linus Ullmark will be in the starters net.
