Another embarrassing fact about the Arizona Coyotes arena situation

Everyone knows that the Arizona Coyotes are set to play in a university arena next season while they try to get approved for their own building in Tempe, Arizona.

The home of the Sun Devils hockey team at Arizona State University is projected to hold upwards of 5000 fans for Coyotes home games for the next few seasons. Meanwhile, a junior team in Quebec is currently selling out almost 15,000 capacity arenas.

The Tweet reads:

"14,563 fans in Quebec City tonight for a junior hockey game. Meanwhile, the NHL's Arizona Coyotes will play in a 5,000-seat arena next season. Somehow this makes sense to Gary Bettman."

There were reports that Gary Bettman had a meeting with Quebec City officials to see if it would be a good fit for an NHL (in case the Tempe, Arizona plan falls through). Of course, the Quebec City Remparts are in a deep playoff run, so it's expected that the building would be full.

However, does this prove that a new team in Canada makes way more sense than an NHL team in Arizona?

What are your thoughts?
