The New York Rangers defeated the Tampa Bay Lightning 6-2 in game one of the Eastern Conference Finals.
In round two against the Florida Panthers, Lightning goaltender Andrei Vasilevskiy only gave up three goals in four games. Rangers fans were obviously excited about their team's success, and after the sixth goal against Vasilevsky, they let him know who they thought the better goalie was.
The last time the Lightning got blown out was game one of the first round, with a 5-0 loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs. Vasy is a perfect 3-0 after a loss so far in the 2022 postseason. Before these playoffs, he was even better; after 14 career playoff losses in the previous two seasons, Vasilevskiy was 14-0 with a .966 save percentage and five shutouts.
The Rangers fans' taunt may come back to haunt them in the series, but one thing's for sure, NHL fans are seeing two of the best goaltenders with, Vasilevskiy and Igor Shesterkin battle it out in the Eastern Conference Finals.
