Recently we've heard most of the speculation indicating the Bruins will add a winger, but there was also talk earlier in the year that the team could be looking to bolster it's blueline.
Fluto Shinzawa brought up a really interesting option that would actually solidify the blueline.
Shinzawa pointed towards New YorkRangers defenseman RyanMcDonagh as the perfect example of a player the B's want to add.
McDonagh would fit in well on the left side and probably push Torey Krug to the third pairing and the Bruins could concentrate on him having more energy for the power play.
The Rangers captain would be able to help the B's in every aspect of the game, with great leadership, character and he can put some numbers on the board.
The problem of course would be the cost to land McDonagh, Shinzawa points out the asking price is likely a first round pick, a young NHL player and a prospect, a price which is likely way too high for the Bruins.
However, the Bruins are arguably one of the best teams in the NHL right now with a serious chance at a StanleyCup run, with McDonagh still signed for another year, the price might be worth.
