The Colorado Avalanche are on another level right now that even the back-to-back Stanley Cup champions look like a weak NHL team.
After winning game one 4-3 in overtime, the Avalanche scored early and often in game two, beating the Lightning 7-0.
Andrei Vasilevskiy was in net for all seven goals against. It was just the second time in his entire NHL career that he has allowed seven goals. Darcy Kuemper only had to face 16 shots to get a shutout and take a 2-0 series lead.
Cale Makar and Valeri Nichushkin both recorded two goals, while Mikko Rantanen collected three assists.
