Boston Bruins call up defenseman from Providence

Bruins defenseman Brandon Carlo was injured in the first period of last night's home opener, and he did not return.
Due to this, the club announced they have recalled a defenseman from the AHL. As per Bruins PR:
''Boston Bruins General Manager Don Sweeney announced today, October 16, that the team has recalled defenseman Dan Renouf from Providence.''
Renouf, 28, has appeared in 23 career NHL games with the Detroit Red Wings and Colorado Avalanche, registering three assists.
And as per CapFriendly, Carlo has been placed on injured reserve.
