Bruins defenseman Brandon Carlo was injured in the first period of last night's home opener, and he did not return. Due to this, the club announced they have recalled a defenseman from the AHL. As per Bruins PR: <q>''Boston Bruins General Manager Don Sweeney announced today, October 16, that the team has recalled defenseman Dan Renouf from Providence.''</q> Renouf, 28, has appeared in 23 career NHL games with the Detroit Red Wings and Colorado Avalanche, registering three assists.
