Matthew Poitras was the Boston Bruins' second-round (54th overall) selection in 2022, which was the team's first pick of the most recent Entry Draft.

The forward got off to a hot offensive start with the Guelph Storm of the OHL. He recorded two goals and six assists in the first seven games of the season before he started getting into disciplinary trouble with the league.

Poitras received a five-minute major and a game misconduct for slew-footing on October 16th against the Ottawa 67's. For the play, the 18-year-old was handed a two-game suspension from the league. After returning for just four games, Poitras was once again given a five-minute major and a game misconduct Sunday night against the North Bay Battalion for slew-footing an opponent.

Here's a clip of his most recent slew-foot:

Hopefully, something the youngster can clean up. Bruins are famous for guys who can generate offense and play on the edge (Brad Marchand, Milan Lucic etc.). Poitras just has to learn how to not take it too far.
