Boston Pride sign Olympic Gold Medallist to highest contract in PHF history

The Boston Pride of the Premier Hockey Federation (PHF) - formerly the National Women's Hockey League (NWHL) - are coming off back-to-back league titles and are now making more history.

Alex Azzi of NBC and On Her Turf has reported that the Pride are signing 2018 Olympic Gold Medallist Kali Flanagan to the largest contract in PHF history.

As per Azzi:

Per a source, 2018 Olympic gold medalist Kali Flanagan (@flanagko) plans to return to the Boston Pride and has signed what will be the largest 💰 PHF contract to-date''

The largest contract to date is Mikyla Grant-Mentis, who currently makes $80K per season with the Buffalo Beauts.

Kali Flanagan, 26, native of Burlington, Massachusetts won gold with the United States at the 2018 Winter Olympic Games in PyeongChang, South Korea.

Flanagan also appeared in 157 games for Boston College of the NCAA, and she put up 72 points.

She helped the team win the Hockey East championships in 2016 and 2017, as well as Beanpot championships in 2016 and 2017.
