Brad Marchand shares the highest praise for Connor McDavid
Brad Marchand has been in the NHL for 14 years and being one of the best in the league himself, knows what it takes to be great.
Judging by his most recent comments, however, he may have a new favourite player. After meeting just over a week ago in Edmonton and the Oilers making their lone visit to Boston tonight, the Bruins veteran shared the highest praise for Connor McDavid.
As per Sportsnet's Gene Principe:
''What Connor McDavid has done is truly incredible. We're still fans of the game and we're witnessing history of one of the best players ever.''
Marchand said it best that even NHL players are fans, too, and even they can see when another is doing something special.
That's exactly what the Oilers captain is doing. McDavid currently has 54 goals and 70 assists through 65 games, while reaching points 700 and 800 this season.
His 124 points is also a career-high in a season for the back-to-back Art Ross Trophy winner.
