According to Rick Westhead of TSN, The Heritage Committee unanimously voted to direct Hockey Canada to release law firm Henein Hutchison's final report on the alleged events.
This comes after police investigators found "reasonable grounds" to believe that five members of the 2018 Canada World Juniors hockey team were involved in an assault of a woman during a Hockey Canada fundraising gala.
Andy Strickland, reporter and co-host of the Cam and Strick podcast, hinted at significant suspensions for five players involved in the scandal.
The investigation appears to be nearing its conclusion, and if proven guilty, the players will face the consequences they deserve.
In response to the ongoing situation, Hockey Canada announced that no player from the 2018 World Juniors team is eligible to represent Canada's national team, including the upcoming 2023 IIHF World Championship.
The situation remains a dark chapter in Canadian hockey history, with further developments anticipated in the coming days.
