The Boston Bruins have one of the best problems an NHL could have: two good goaltenders you could choose to start a playoff game.

Head coach Bruce Cassidy as the hard and final decision to choose said starter between his two goaltenders, Linus Ullmark and Jeremy Swayman.

Swayman is playing in his rookie season and put up a record of 23-14-3, with a goals-against-average of 2.41, a save percentage of .914 and three shutouts. He has only played 18:34 total minutes of playoff hockey and one goal on three shots.

Ullmark is playing his first season with the Bruins, where he put up a record of 26-10-2, with a goals-against-average of 2.45, a save percentage of .917, and one shutout. He has never played a postseason game in the NHL.

This is the first time in a while that the Bruins have had to make a decision on which goalie to start. In the team's past seven playoff appearances, there has been no doubt that Tuukka Rask was the go-to guy.

Bruce Cassidy announced that Linus Ullmark would be the Bruins' starter for game one of the 2022 NHL playoffs.

He spoke to the media to discuss the relationship his goaltenders have:

"I don't know if it's unique necessarily; most goaltenders will come together because there's only two of them, so that's a natural thing. It's hard to talk to a defenseman if you're having an issue with your post coverage or whatever. You probably go to your goalie coach or your tandem mate ... They've become a little closer than most by the looks of it, and I think that's great ... the plan is to have them here for a while."

He also discussed his thoughts on Ullmark's progression over the past few months and why he will be the starter for game one.
