The Boston Bruins are slowly getting their full roster back together, as number one defenseman Charlie McAvoy is officially making his 2022-23 season debut tonight.
McAvoy will return tonight as the Bruins host the Calgary Flames at TD Garden. He missed the team's first 13 games of the season after undergoing offseason shoulder surgery and is returning about two weeks earlier than expected.
As per head coach Jim Montgomery:
''McAvoy will start with Grzelcyk, but he'll likely move around a bit. Lindholm will start next to Clifton.''
McAvoy has been a consistent Norris calibre defenseman for the past few seasons. The 24-year-old registered a career-high 10 goals and 36 assists last season with the Bruins.
