Dallas Stars sign Roope Hintz to a long-term deal contract extension

The Dallas Stars have locked up yet another young star to a long-term deal, as they announced they have extended Roope Hintz.
As per the Stars PR:
''Dallas Stars General Manager Jim Nill announced today that the club has signed center Roope Hintz to an eight-year contract extension, which begins in the 2023-24 season and runs through the 2030-31 season. The eight-year contract extension is worth $67.6 million and has an average annual value (AAV) of $8.45 million.''
Hintz, 26, has appeared in 22 games with the Stars this season, recording 8 goals and 16 assists.
In his career, the Finn has appeared in 261 games, collecting 88 goals and 106 assists. He was originally selected 49th overall by Dallas in the stacked 2015 NHL Entry Draft.
