Tuesday turned out to be a rough day for one NHL team!

According to NHL Public Relations, the Toronto Maple Leafs have been fined $100,000 for breaking the NHL travel policy.

MAPLE LEAFS FINED $100.000 FOR VIOLATING COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT

The National Hockey League announced today that it has fined the Toronto Maple Leafs' organization $100,000 for the team's travel to St. Louis on Dec. 26, 2022. This team activity was in violation of Article 16.5 (b) of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the NHL and the NHL Players' Association. The fine money goes to the NHL Foundation.

Apparently, the Maple Leafs, who were on the road against the Blues last night, flew to St. Louis at 10:18 pm on December 26th and landed a little before 11 pm local time.

But that wasn't it!

David Pagnotta of The Fourth Period, also shared that head coach Sheldon Keefe was fined for an incident with officials.
