One NHL team was unexpectedly hit with some terrible news Tuesday morning, as several players will miss tonight's game due to illnesses.
The Pittsburgh Penguins, who are set to host the Columbus Blue Jackets, could be without Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin, and Casey DeSmith. As per Penguins reporter Taylor Hasse:
''Mike Sullivan says that they anticipate Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin, Casey DeSmith will all be available tonight but they're all considered game-time decisions.''
None of them participated in Monday's skate due to what was only reported as an ''illness'', however, Malkin and DeSmith did skate this morning, and while Crosby was at the rink, he was not on the ice.
The Penguins may also be forced to dress an EBUG (Emergency Backup Goalie) against the Blue Jackets if DeSmith is not ready to go.
