As per Jeff Marek and Elliotte Friedman on the "32 Thoughts" podcast, trade talks involving top restricted free agent Kevin Fiala were really heating up this morning.

Reports suggested that he could even be traded within the next 24 hours, and the team's in the mix are the New Jersey Devils, Ottawa Senators and Los Angeles Kings.

Friedman suggested that he has also heard that the Buffalo Sabres are there as well but he couldn't give a definitive answer.

Now, as per Michel Russo of The Athletic, the a trade is now official:

Fiala was traded at the 2019 Trade Deadline from the Nashville Predators to the Minnesota Wild for forward Mikael Granlund. Since coming to the Wild, the Switzerland native has broken out with 70 goals and 107 assists in 215 games. Including a career year in 2021-22 with 85 points in 82 games.

The Kings acquire Fiala's right and must still sign the RFA. Assuming a deal is already in the works.
