NHL insider and TSN's Pierre LeBrun has reported that Florida Panthers forward Anthony Duclair got some terrible news to start his offseason.

"Hearing that Anthony Duclair looking at potential surgery for Achilles tendon injury, which obviously would require months of recovery. Coming off career-high, 31-goal season. Tough news."

Duclair had a breakout season with the Panthers this season after bouncing around teams early in his career. In the eight years of his career, the 26-year-old has played for six different NHL teams, including the New York Rangers, Arizona Coyotes, Chicago Blackhawks, Columbus Blue Jackets, Ottawa Senators and of course the Panthers.

In 396 games prior to the 2021-22 season, the forward had 89 goals and 105 assists. This season Duclair put up a career year with 31 goals and 27 assists in 74 games.

The timeline for uncertain as of right now, but it sadly appears to be a very lengthly recovery for Duclair.
