Bruins announce roster moves
Yesterday the Bruins GM Don Sweeney announced the following roster moves ahead of the game against the Islanders. The Bruins have activates Urho Vaakanainen from Injured Reserve. To ensure the Bruins were roster compliant they also assigned defenseman Jack Ahcan to the Providence Bruins.
The 23-year old Vaakanainen, has 4 assists in 13 games this season for the Bruins. The 6-foot-2, dman has appeared in 29 career NHL games with Boston.
Ahcan, 24, who was recalled last week after the injury to Matt Grzelcyk. Ahcan has 19 points while playing in 31 games for Providence.
