The winner of the 7th Player award was selected by a fan vote on NESN.com to the Bruins' player who exceeded fans' expectations on the season.
Boston Bruins goaltender Jeremy Swayman has been named the winner of NESN's 7th Player Award. Jack Edwards presented the award to Swayman before their game against the Buffalo Sabres tonight.
Swayman has appeared in 40 games, with a record of 23-13-3, a 2.37 goals-against average and a .915 save percentage. The 6'3", 197lb. goaltender leads all rookie goaltenders (min. 15 games played) in GAA, SV%, wins and shutouts.
Swayman chose the American Heart Association as his donation recipient of the additional $5000 he received with the award.
Past recipients of the award include Charlie Coyle (2020), Charlie McAvoy (2018), David Pastrnak (2017, 2015) and Brad Marchand (2016, 2011).
