Undrafted forward Georgi Merkulov signed with the Boston Bruins out of Ohio State University.
The Russian came over to the United States back in 2019 to grow his game, especially on North American ice.
Knowing very little English, he learned it in a pretty unique way.
The Russian told media:
'' I had my phone all the time to help translate, and coaches would communicate with me through the phone translator too TV and YouTube all that stuff helps a lot. The Big Bang Theory was the main show I watched.''
The Bruins prospect spoke to the media after day two of development camp.
