The Boston Bruins have two goalies that have turned into best friends over the 2021-22 NHL season.
Jeremy Swayman and Linus Ullmark have built quite a friendship over both their first seasons with the Bs. Most notably is their trademark hug after every Bruins' win. It appears that both goalies are happy whenever the other does well, and the "friendly competition" has only made them both better.
The goaltenders reunited at the 2022 World Championships this morning before a game between the United States and Sweden:
The goalies got the chance to play against each other as well. Ullmark got his first start for Team Sweden since arriving on Thursday and stopped 21 of the 24 shots he faced. Swayman was coming off a 17-save shutout against Great Britain on Thursday and stopped 20 of 22 shots he faced. Team USA edged out Team Sweden in a 3-2 overtime finish.
