The Edmonton Oilers captain has been dubbed a "regular-season player" for most of his career, and I think he's sick of all that talk. Before this season, McDavid had 11 goals and 11 assists in 21 postseason games. In the 2022 playoffs, he already has 6 goals and 14 assists for 20 points in just 9 games played. With another two points in game two, Connor McDavid has officially scored the most points in the first nine games of the playoffs in the last 30 years. Simply historic stuff he's doing right now.
He also hasn't been afraid to throw the body this postseason, either. How McDavid has transformed his all-around game since he came into the league is impressive.
