The Boston College captain signed a two-year entry-level contract with the Bruins just two days ago.
After being sent down to Providence yesterday, centreman Marc McLaughlin will suit up in the first professional game of his career tonight. The baby Bruins are set to take on their division rivals, the Charlotte Checkers, for a 7pm ET road matchup.
The 22-year-old, who signed a two-year deal with an annual cap hit of $883,750 on Tuesday, is a native of North Billerica, MA.
An undrafted free agent, McLaughlin spent the past four seasons suiting up for Boston College and he served as the Eagles' team captain for the past two.
The 6'2'' and 210-pound senior finished his 2021-22 season by setting career highs in goals (21) and points (32) in 33 games played.
