Bruins sign prospect to one-year deal

Boston Bruins general manager Don Sweeney has announced that the team has signed forward Joona Koppanen to a one-year, two-way contract extension with an annual NHL cap hit of $750,000.
The 24-year-old played 62 games in the AHL with the Providence Bruins in 2021-22, collecting 11 goals and 19 assists for a total of 30 points and a plus 21. The 6'5', 208 lb forward has appeared in 181 career games with Providence, recording 27 goals and 31 assists for 58 points.
The Tampere, Finland native was originally drafted by the Bruins in the fifth round (135th overall) of the 2016 NHL Entry Draft.
