The Boston Bruins will host its 2022-23 ''Hockey Fights Cancer Night'' on Tuesday when they host the Dallas Stars.
Like every season, the players will wear special-edition lavender Hockey Fights Cancer jerseys, as well as lavender stick tape. Bruins coaches and broadcasters will sport colored ties and pins to show their support.
There will be some special guests at TD Garden tonight as well. As per the Bruins Public Relations:
''A ceremonial puck drop will be performed by Mayah White, a 15-year old sophomore at Barnstable High School who was diagnosed in January 2022 with Stage 3 Anaplastic Large Cell Lymphoma. On June 7, 2022, after receiving treatment at Boston Children's Hospital and the Dana Farber Jimmy Fund Clinic, Mayah's scans showed no evidence of lymphoma.''
''Tuesday's anthem will be performed by Boxford, Massachusetts native, Andrew Marshall. Marshall was diagnosed with Leukemia at 16-years old as a junior in high school. After three years of fighting, Marshall is now cancer free and is a successful musician in Nashville, Tennessee.''
