The Edmonton Oilers hosted the Pittsburgh Penguins last night, and of course, all the hype was on another meeting between the last two generational talents of Connor McDavid and Sidney Crosby.
However, it was an incident between goaltender Tristan Jarry and Leon Draisaitl that everyone was talking about.
On a delayed penalty, Jarry leaves the net and heads for the bench; he very clearly interferes with Draisaitl. When the Oilers forward tries to push through, Jarry decides to just tackle his legs out from under him.
Watch it here:
All hockey fans knew that goaltenders are very protected by officials and also get away with a lot more. Does this just confirm that?
