Ever since David Pastrnak was injured on April 4th, when the Boston Bruins were visiting the Columbus Blue Jackets, head coach Bruce Cassidy has tried multiple options in his place.

Pastrnak was on a line with Taylor Hall and Erik Haula, and they were one of the hottest lines in the entire NHL since the NHL Trade Deadline on March 21st. Cassidy has put rookies Marc McLaughlin and Jesper Froden on the right side, with Hall and Haula on different occasions.

He stated that he liked McLaughlin down in the lineup better, and Froden suffered a lower-body injury against the Pittsburgh Penguins on Saturday afternoon.

Curtis Lazar will be the most recent winger to get the chance to move up the lineup as he did line rushes with Hall and Haula in Monday morning's practice.

Lazar addressed the fact he's having a career year:

"Every time I step on the ice, I give my all ... I just kind of focus on the short-term, that next shift ... but relatively I'm feeling good out there, I'm feeling fast, and lately too just ramping up for the playoffs."

Lazar played with Taylor Hall on the Buffalo Sabres, as they were both part of the trade package that came to Boston at the 2021 Trade Deadline. He spoke about what he has to do when playing with him and Haula:

"Just kinda fill in those lanes, cause they [Haula and Hall] know they're going to find me, and when that opportunity arises for me to get a shot off or make a play, just be ready for it"
