Buffalo Sabres place veteran Riley Sheahan on waivers

The Buffalo Sabres announced today that they have placed a veteran forward on waivers.
As per NHL insider Elliotte Friedman:
Riley Sheahan, 30, signed back with the Buffalo Sabres this summer but has yet to appear in a game during the 2022-23 season.
Sheahan was originally selected 21st overall by the Detroit Red Wings in 2010.
The centre has skated for the Red Wings, Edmonton Oilers, Seattle Kraken and now stints with the Sabres. He has registered 74 goals and 120 assists in 635 games.
