The Buffalo Sabres officially unveiled who will be the 20th team captain in franchise history.
General manager Kevyn Adams had high praise for Kyle Okposo and believes he is the best leader for his club's young core.
According to EliteProspects, the Sabres' roster was the eighth-youngest in the NHL, with an average age of 26.7. As per GM Adams:
''It's impossible to overstate what Kyle has meant to this group - he is patient, he is a lifelong learner, he is levelheaded, and most of all, he is proud to be a Buffalo Sabre.''
Joining Okposo on the Sabres' leadership corps are Zemgus Girgonsens and Rasmus Dahlin, who will both wear an 'A' for Buffalo.
